A native of Traverse City, Michigan, Sean O'Hara has built an impressive culinary career defined by curiosity, discipline, and a deep respect for exceptional ingredients. Today, as Corporate Executive Chef at Bar Boheme, he brings experience from some of the country's most celebrated kitchens while leading the restaurant's culinary vision with creativity and precision.

O'Hara's journey into professional cooking began at just 14 years old. Hoping to earn enough money to buy a drum set, he took a dishwashing job at the finest French restaurant that he could find near his rural hometown. What started as a part-time job quickly became a passion, leading him to attend a culinary vocational program before high school each morning. He later refined his skills at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island before launching his professional career in New York City.

Following graduation, O'Hara spent three and a half years at the legendary Jean-Georges, where he developed an appreciation for bold Asian flavors, bright acidity, and balanced spice. He then joined Del Posto under acclaimed chef Mark Ladner to deepen his understanding of Italian cuisine before relocating to California to stage at the esteemed French Laundry.

Originally planning to stay just one year, O'Hara remained for six years, working every station in the kitchen and ultimately serving as Sous Chef. His time there instilled a lasting appreciation for seasonality, meticulous technique, and the extraordinary impact of impeccably sourced produce.

After helping to open a new restaurant in Madison, Wisconsin, O'Hara made his way to Las Vegas, where he has become an integral part of the city's dynamic dining scene alongside Chef James Trees at Esther's Kitchen.

Currently at Bar Boheme, Chef Sean combines classical French technique with Italian influences, vibrant global flavors, and a relentless commitment to quality. His thoughtful, ingredient-driven approach continues to shape memorable dining experiences while mentoring the next generation of culinary talent.
