Alex & Dani White, Chef

Alex White grew up with a century-old sourdough starter. It started in his family with his great-great-grandfather in 1897, and this meant lots of sourdough growing up: from pancakes to biscuits to bread. When he left for college, Alex received his own jar of the family starter. His culinary journey began in college, hosting pizza parties at his apartment and scouring libraries for sourdough bread baking advice. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for film, and spent time working as a camera operator before his baking hobby turned professional.

Dani White met Alex in school, before graduating to work in production and later, doing live events with Parks and Recreation. Alex and Dani reconnected when Alex invited her to one of his pizza parties, and the two started dating. By the time the pandemic hit, she had already transitioned from helping him cook and fulfil orders, to running the operations side of the business.

After some time taking orders through Instagram and working out of a backyard, Yukon Pizza joined the Vegas Test Kitchen, a food hall for pop-ups in 2020. In 2022, Yukon Pizza opened a brick-and-mortar in Downtown Las Vegas, NV and has since established themselves as a neighborhood favorite serving comforting classes and innovative new favorites.
